The Old Town of Dubrovnik might always be spectacular, but it is never more so than at sunset. With the sky lit up, the sea shimmering and the stars appearing, the town comes alive with the colors of the sunset. 

Departing ~2.5 hours before sunset, let our expert, English-speaking guide take you on a kayaking exploration of the city’s Old Town walls, on the seas along the shores of the mysterious island of Lokrum and for a stop at a popular, but secluded beach cave on the mainland, before heading back towards the city as the sun goes down. Glide through sunset waters, take spectacular pictures and soak up the beauty from the tranquility of your kayak. Savor a glass of chilled, Croatian wine upon return to the beach.

Uncover tales of Dubrovnik’s history as you soak in the fresh evening air, ocean freedom and indomitable beauty of the cityscape. Adopt the invaders’ perspective paddling close to the battle-worn, medieval city walls. Admire Dubrovnik’s most glamorous neighbourhood and stop at Europe’s first quarantine zone.

Glide along the shores near the ever mysterious island of Lokrum as you hear tales and the history of its ancient curse and remarkable landmarks. Cross the short channel towards the mainland for a 30-minute out of kayak stop at a popular but secluded beach-cave, only reachable by kayak or small vessel. At the beach-cave, drink in the rare surroundings and sparkling waters as you sunbathe, swim, snorkel and enjoy a snack. Returning towards the Dubrovnik Old Town be treated to the long-awaited sunset views of the city. Stop, take pictures and see the Old Town aflame in the glow of sunset as the stars appear above you. 

Before we set out you will be given a full safety briefing and a short lesson in kayaking, from technical paddling to guide cues for safe communication throughout the tour. 

The tour is designed so it can be completed by most people, but reasonable fitness is required. No experience is necessary.
