 Adventure Dubrovnik is a Croatian registered travel agency that specializes in active holidays in Dubrovnik. We believe our greatest strength is the combination of real world experience and a passion for the work we do. 

 Our team is comprised of both staff employed year ’round as well as seasonally employed staff -several of whom have been with us since the early years. We have one of the highest staff retention rates in our niche. Almost all of our permanently employed staff are licensed local tour guides (Croatian Ministry of Tourism/Law on the Provision of Tourism Services Articles 69-78) and are active members of the Dubrovnik Association of Tourist Guides. In addition, all of our adventure guides are lawfully licensed by the Croatian Mountain Rescue Association (HGSS) and/or the internationally recognized American Canoe Association (ACA) as mandated by the Croatian Ministry of Tourism/Law on the Provision of Tourism Services Articles 92-93). 

 The origins of our company go back to 2002 when one of our founding members completed the then rigorous Dubrovnik guide licensing process and at age 18 became the youngest person ever to be accepted into the Dubrovnik Association of Tourist Guides. We have guided numerous groups on Dubrovnik Old Town tours, panoramic tours, city tours and other excursions into to every corner of the Dubrovnik region.

 After many years of guiding walking tours we decided to shake things up a bit and expand into new territories. We launched Adventure Dubrovnik and our first active day trips, the sea kayaking Dubrovnik trip and the Dubrovnik countryside biking trip. The drive to constantly improve has made Adventure Dubrovnik one of the leading eco-friendly adventure trip providers in the Dubrovnik region.

In 2022 we committed to an action plan that would drive us towards more ecologically sustainable operations. We're slowly moving away from fuel-based vehicle tours  (boats, vans, cars) and more towards eco-friendly, human powered tours (kayaks, bikes, hiking). We no longer provide transfer services for our regularly running tours. Instead, our guests are encouraged to use public transportation. We provide discounts to guests who demonstrably use public transportation to get to our tours and are able to produce evidence of a one day public bus pass, a multi-day public bus pass, a valid Dubrovnik Pass (which includes a public transport pass), or a public bus ticket that is less than one hour old.  In 2023 we launched a bus schedule phone service for our guests interested in using public buses to get around Dubrovnik.

We also provide discounted rates on our regularly running tours to guests who book directly with our firm and show up for our tours with their own reusable water bottle.
